Volunteer Spotlight: Pamela Fadem

"A big part of why we're there is just working with these kids as a human being to a human being saying, 'I'm an adult, you're a kid. You're great; you're okay wherever you are."

Volunteer

Every year Berkeley Schools Volunteers (BSV) places over 1,500 volunteers in classrooms, after school programs, and kitchens and gardens throughout Berkeley. Our volunteers are just like you: UC Berkeley and Berkeley City College students; college graduates and mid-career professionals pursuing a career in education; retired community members; and lots of people simply interested in helping kids succeed.

BSV matches volunteers with teachers based on the needs and preferences of each party. With so many diverse opportunities, volunteers can feel confident that they will be placed at a site that is fulfilling and engaging.
