Berkeley High teacher Tamara Friedman explains the project: “The BHS Language and Culture Exchange is now in its eleventh year. The club is designed to bring together non-native English speakers with native English speakers in the school. Our goal is to promote intercultural understanding and create meaningful relationships across language and cultural differences.”
