Berkeley High Mandarin instructor Xin Chen received a grant to take students to several cultural learning experiences as well as purchase materials for class. Chen writes, “Through immersion/participation in Chinese cultural events and interactions on online Mandarin speaking & writing tutorial websites, students will reinforce their studies and can cooperate with each other doing their project and practice the language, leaving positive impressions about the language study and interesting learning experience.”
