PayPal or ACH Direct Deposit are our strongly preferred methods as they avoid issues with checks lost in the mail or uncashed. We can issue a check if the recipient cannot receive PayPal or ACH payments - checks can be mailed to the recipient or picked up in in Berkeley at the district office.

If we have not previously paid the Payee via ACH Direct Deposit, we will be emailing them a secure form to collect their bank account information. Once we receive bank information, the payment will be initiated and can take up to 7 days to be deposited in their bank account.

Where should we send the payment?*

We can mail the check directly to the payee, or mail it to you at your BUSD location so you can give it to payee (please specify your mailing location in the Additional Payment Instructions below), or it can be picked up in Berkeley at the district office (you will be notified when it is ready).

Tax Information May Be Required

If the payee is an individual or organization that is being paid for their services, then we require their tax ID number (unless we already have that on file). Please let your payee know that we will be requesting IRS W-9 information before we can send payment. We have a new secure way for them to upload the information to us, so this form no longer requests uploading W-9 information.

Receipts or other payment documentation*

Depending on the type of payment, different documentation is required. When payment is for reimbursement, copies of receipts should be uploaded here or emailed to the Schools Fund at schoolsfund@berkeley.net. For payment to an individual for services, or to a company for products or services - upload or email a copy of any invoice or other payment documentation.
