Introducing Genevieve Leighton-Armah, Our Lead Program Manager, STEM

In September, the Schools Fund welcomed Genevieve Leighton-Armah as our Lead Program Manager for STEM. Originally from the East Bay, Genevieve grew up in a diverse and community-oriented environment, stating that “community has been my path.”

Genevieve worked for the Legal Resource Center at SF State during college, a job which fueled her passion for advocacy and helping people navigate resources. Since then, Genevieve has worked with nonprofit organizations such as BAYCAT, All Children’s Thrive, and the Bayview Opera House to uplift students and communities.

As our lead program manager for STEM, Genevieve will oversee the launch of new affinity groups with local middle schools and their families. Genevieve says,

“Every young person deserves access to quality education, meaningful opportunities, and the resources to explore what’s possible for their future. That kind of growth doesn’t happen in the classroom alone. It happens through experiences, relationships, and opportunities beyond the school day that help young people discover their passions and see themselves in careers they may have never imagined.”

The schools Fund’s STEM programs are in good hands. Outside of work, Genevieve enjoys birding, supporting local artists, frequenting museums and galleries, and spending time with friends and family. We are thrilled to have her on our team!
