2014 King Middle Performance of “Everyday”

Students in King Middle Richard Silberg’s drama class performed a theatrical adaptation of the book “Everyday” by David Levithan.  The premise of the book is far from simple: the narrative voice, A, inhabits another person’s body for one day, always another kid 16 ½ years old. Everyday. Sometimes A is a boy, sometimes a girl. A can inhabit people with different  colors of skin and different shapes and sizes, people of different economic, social and psychological conditions and different sexual orientations. At it’s heart the book serves as a metaphor for the teenage experience and our need for empathy.
